I got a call from Jennifer, owner of Haven Home Solutions. She had been asked by my friends Erin and Andy to give their home a new upbeat look. They needed a custom bench, to use as a dining room seating, storage, and a safety barrier over a 2 foot drop. She shared her drawing and basic dimensions and I got to work designing and after several modifications I was all set to build.

Remove the cushions and instant storage.

The most challenging part of the build was the long section that sat just above the ledge, since it was both seating and storage, it needed extra supports. I finished off the doors with soft close hidden hinges and was supper happy with the fit.

I must have opened and closed those 3 doors hundreds of times, it just made me happy.
